OUR MISSION STATEMENT
At Joy of Giving we seek to unite our community by providing our most vulnerable children and their families a day of Christmas celebration filled with fun, food, gifts and access to life transforming resources.
We believe when it comes to serving those in need, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts; that is why the Joy of Giving is a multi-organizational co-operative event.
In accordance with the initial vision inspired and example set by Joe Capitano, Sr. and Pastor Greg Powe, Sr., Joy of Giving seeks to cross denominational, demographic, socioeconomic and racial bounds. We do this by recognizing that each child and family member served is made in the image of God and therefore has immeasurable worth and value, and we will treat them accordingly in every respect
At the Joy of Giving, we look to create an experience that impacts all attendees in more enduring ways than the temporal happiness associated with opening a Christmas present. We will do this through not just providing gifts, but resources and information to uplift and enrich the lives of those in our community.
